Redemption is Nigh
by Kim Brock
We thank you Lord for your redeeming power. Our Lord is coming to take those that are his into glory and eternity. Are you ready? Is your heart ready to see Him? Have you set your heart on things above and not on this earth?
Luke 21:25-28 KJV And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress(anxiety: – anguish) of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; (26) Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. (27) And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. (28) And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
This is a great and horrible generation because God is/will both pour our His spirit upon all flesh according to what He spoke and execute great judgment; beginning at the house of God. Acts 2:17-21 ISV ‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on everyone. Your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams. (18) In those days I will even pour out my Spirit on my slaves, men and women alike, and they will prophesy. (19) I will work wonders in the sky above and signs on the earth below: blood, fire, and clouds of smoke. (20) The sun will turn to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the coming of the great and glorious Day of the Lord. (21) Then whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Those are sign of His coming and an opportunity for those who are not yet redeemed by the blood of the lamb to get redeemed and be apart of the family of God.
You see, God is creator of the universe! Sin separates us from Him and Jesus is the bridge-gap between humanity and its creator. He wants to redeem us through the Lord Jesus Christ. But many of us don’t concern ourselves with anything having to do with the Lord. And we are so saturated with sin which doesn’t necessarily mean we engage in every sinful activity but, what surrounds us we’re offended when we’re told we’re wrong. He wants a relationship with us. He wants to communicate with His creation, but we so often ignore Him.
Isaiah 1:18-20 KJV Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. (19) If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:20 KJV But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword(of truth): for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
The Lord is saying come, let us agree with each other, even though you’ve sinned, done things against me, let’s talk, let’s ‘reason’ together! God is amazing and His love transcends time and space.
