Sin Hunters (People on the Hunt for others’ Sins)
***Note: This is my expressed opinion. What I feel some people do as I’ve expressed in the title is not a sin and of itself and I’m not going to make an expose of anyone. It’s just my observation that we as Christians may, quite possibly be focused on the wrong thing.
Matthew 7:1-3 “Stop judging so that you will not be judged. (2) Otherwise, you will be judged by the same standard you use to judge others. The standards you use for others will be applied to you. (3) So why do you see the piece of sawdust in another believer’s eye and not notice the wooden beam in your own eye?
I’m really starting to become interested in what other ministries minister and I’ve noticed the many types of approaches by which Jesus Christ is preach. Some are historical, some are self-help encourager’s, some are strictly doctrinal and there are some that are confrontational. When I say confrontational I mean that every certain type of minister that may be popular or well liked suffers through their exposé. Their is a passion in them to bring to light the sins of other people within the body. Does God want sin to be brought to light? Yes, most definitely. But in correspondence to that, the Gospel of the Lord Jesus must be preach; being, repentance, sanctification, righteousness and holiness. Some people don’t realize their utter slander of pastors and ministries cause division among us as well as sow seeds of discord and judgment. I am most definitely GUILTY and not only with ministers, but with my own family and friends!
Romans 7:7-8 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet. (8) But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.
Because of the law, sin is made known to us. With out the law (according to what Paul, the Apostle said in the above verse) sin is dead.
When we see our BROTHERS and SISTERS in sin, how is it supposed to be handled? Well, Jesus told us in the Gospels
Matthew 18:15-22 But if your brother shall trespass against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother. (16) But if he will not hear you, take one or two more with you, so that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. (17) And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it to the church. But if he neglects to hear the church, let him be to you as a heathen and a tax-collector. (18) Truly I say to you, Whatever you shall bind on earth shall occur, having been bound in Heaven; and whatever you shall loose on earth shall occur, having been loosed in Heaven. (19) Again I say to you that if two of you shall agree on earth as regarding anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them by My Father in Heaven. (20) For where two or three are gathered together in My name, there I am in their midst. (21) Then Peter came to Him and said, Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? Until seven times? (22) Jesus said to him, I do not say to you, Until seven times; but, Until seventy times seven.
Again, this world, our society is sin, we commit sins everyday and if you say you don’t and judge others like you don’t, you’re a liar. An insecure and jealous spirit will cause a person to do many things and seal it with the name of our Lord Jesus, but let this not be so anymore. Let’s all come together as a body in love and in power pulling or brothers and sisters out of the way of wrath, if they refuse us then let us wipe the dust off our feet and continue on our way in forgiveness and the love of the Holy Father.
Jude 1:18-24 How that they told you there should be mockers ( a derider, that is, (by implication) a false teacher: – mocker, scoffer) in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. (19) These be they who separate themselves, sensual ( the sensuous nature with its subjection to appetite and passion) , having not the Spirit. (20) But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, (21) Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. (22) And of some have compassion, making a difference: (23) And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. (24) Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,Jude 1:25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
We’re supposed to judge between right and wrong I believe that false prophets, pastors etc,etc will be exposed because of the scripture what’s done in the dark will be exposed in the LIGHT and we know what the true light us. Let’s not focus on that let us concern our selves with our souls our holiness, sanctification, righteousness and the furtherance of the true Gospel of our Lord Jesus.
