Pride Is Cruel

a letter to myself and everybody else believing  Christ.

During our time apart from God we all can admit outward or in our heart that we did some pretty bad things for our own pleasure.  We all can say we lived a filthy lifestyle not  just in our ways but  our hearts intentions.

Thanks to God though we heard the word and felt sorry for the things that we done and His love then led us to repent and seek God and come into a relationship with Him.  As long as we’ve lived for God and for me it hasn’t been that long at all, we start to forget that we were once like the people that we are afraid of (thanks Rob).  Jesus sat among all kinds of people but he did not partake of their ways He showed them the love and mercy of the Father which is what we as believers should do.  Some of what we say as Christians to non believers will cause them to stumble because we don’t speak the heart of God.  We condemned those that walk in self condemnation anyway adding insult to those already injured.

Our pride says to them, “I am way better than you so bow down to what I say and serve God, you’re filth and you need Him”  The bible talks about how our righteousness is as filthy rags…He’s saying we can’t do anything to make it right with Him on our own, it’s his Holy Spirit of love and truth that convicts us and convinces us to do good for the Lord.  It’s His spirit working in us.  Ephesians 2:12-13 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:  (13) But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

It’s sad when I feel the spirit a judgment when I operate in it or when judgment is casted upon me by a believer, it hurts.  Anyway God knows our hearts and knows that we are gonna make mistakes that’s apart of walking up right.  A baby doesn’t come out of the womb walking and when they get to that age of walking they certainly don’t get it perfect the first time.  It takes our will and desire to search for Him with our whole heart while asking Him to search OUR hearts that he may reveal the evil in it unto sanctification. Psalms 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

Some people think that if you don’t judge you don’t oppose sin but, if you make a ministry out of exposing other people in their faults at  what point will God get the glory? Or  do you want people to glorify you for your advocation against sin?  The best witness you can be is by your life style not what you seek to expose…Gods love is what’s lacking.  What sin is designed for us to seek, pleasures that don’t give glory to God and that destroy our communication with Him.

Let us not for get that we were once in danger of eternal disconnect with God as well…

God bless
