The Wages of Sin is Death

The Wages of Sin is Death

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
(Romans 6:23)

We sin, we view sin against others, we are sinned against.  Sin is all over the place. Our world is consumed  by it.  The world finds pleasure and comfort in it.

Does sin have a penalty?

Some will die once and be resurrected to life with Christ, some of us will not die at all but be  transformed into Glory with Christ and others will die and then die again when Satan is cast into hell along with his minions and these …

And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.  He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
(Revelation 21:5-8)

By Definition

“transgression or violation of the Law” (1John 3:4)

From Strong”s Concordance, “offence, sin”

So we see that sin is to offend Gods law. if you look at it another way, sin is our disagreement  with Gods law so we work against it causing a variance between the Creator and ourselves.  1 John 3:8  He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

John 8:42-44  Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.  (43)  Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.  (44)  Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

God does not use excess force to cause us to live His way if we truly desire sin and are unrepentant of it. He will let  go of us and allow us to “have at” sin.  He’s loved us from the very beginning yet will allow us to partake of the cup of wrath if we so choose to.  He will send warnings through His prophets and through conviction until our consistency of refusal  removes his saving mercy putting us in danger of Hell’s fire.  Only the redemptive blood of Jesus can save us from punishment on this earth and the wrath to come.

Benefits of the Blood of Christ

THE BLOOD REDEEMS US

Ephesians 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Colossians 1:12-14
Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:  (13)  Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:  (14) In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

Hebrews 9:11-13 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;  (12)  Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. (13)  For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:

THE BLOOD PAID FOR OUR SINS SO THAT WE WOULD NOT BE DESTROYED

Matthew 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Acts 20:28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

1 Corinthians 6:20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.& 1 Corinthians 7:23

Leviticus 17:11,it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul

BROUGHT GENTILES INTO  A RELATIONSHIP

Ephesians 2:11-16
Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;  (12)  That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:  (13)  But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. (14)  For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;  (15)  Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;  (16)  And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

ANY ONE OF ANY NATIONALITY CAN HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD

Revelation 5:9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation.

We must know that out of a relationship with the Creator we stand in danger of eternal damnation.  Eternal damnation is seperation from the Lord forever Through Jesus, our Savior we can receive salvation and thus adoptation into the family of the living God, our Creator saving our souls from separation in this life and eternal seperation.
John 3:16-18 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (17)  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (18)   He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
