The Spirit of God Physically Healing People

Is Healing for everyone under the Atonement?

Isa 53:1-2  Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?  (2)  For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

Note: Jesus wasnโ€™t desired as in what we think of it today. He was quite average physically.  โ€œthere is no beauty that we desire himโ€ His duty  on earth had nothing to do with his status or fame physically.

Isa 53:3  He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

Note: The writer here is painting a picture of our Lord & Savior.  Average, despised, rejected & a man of sorrows (stress).

Healing  Scriptures

Mat 4:23-25  And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.  (24)  And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.  (25)  And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judaea, and from beyond Jordan.

Mat 9:35-36  And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.
Mat 9:36  But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.

Mat 10:1  And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

Mat 12:15  But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all;

Mat 14:14  And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.

Mat 14:34-36  And when they were gone over, they came into the land of Gennesaret.  (35)  And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that country round about, and brought unto him all that were diseased;  (36)  And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.

Luk 6:17-19  And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases;  (18)  And they that were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed.  (19)  And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all.

From  Christ the Healer

โ€œMany in our day have been taught that Christ performed miracles of healing just to show His power and to prove His diety.  This may be true, but it is far from being all the truth.โ€

Jesusโ€™ Compassion

His present attitude toward our sickness is wonderfully revealed by the fact that His exaltation, His compassion has neither been withdrawn nor modified.

Mat 14:14  And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.

Many instances of Jesus being in front of a crowd he ministered and was also moved by their need for healing & deliverance.  There was never an incident in scripture where Jesus refused anyone healing.

Jesusโ€™ approach to healing the sick is proof that healing was not exclusive to  a certain type of believer.
